I don’t own a dishwasher. Growing up we had a dishwasher but after I moved to college and beyond it was a luxury that just didn’t make it to the necessity list. 10 years and counting I’ve been hand washing crusty cereal bowls and scraping pans and it doesn’t bother me a bit! I love Dawn dish soap with all my heart, I really do- but MAN it can do a number on your hands (it has super woman powers to remove grease aka stripping your skin from softening oils). Come winter my hands are pleading for an alternative source and this my friend is where this soap comes in!
DIY Dish Soap Recipe Card:
Thank you to @our_oily_house for this cleaning remedy!
•Pint size mason jar (16oz) -or- pump bottle
•Jar pour spout -or- pumper
•1/2c Castile soap (I used lavender scent)
•10 drops Lemon essential oil
•10 drops Lime essential oil
•10 drops Orange essential oil
– Add soap & oils to the jar, fill with water to the rim
**NOTE: I’m not an oil expert, some oils are hot or cool to touch and may burn your skin if not properly diluted so please research oils before experimenting!

I’m a very big believer in shopping local, all of these ingredients I bought in Morris, MN. I’ve had to resort to online shopping to fill in the gaps with items we can’t get at our local OPEN stores right now. Thankful for our local shops for sure!!
