SPRAY.WIPE.REPEAT.
This is your kitchens boss in a bottle to say the least! Grubby fingers are always greeting our fridge, door knobs, spilling Cheerio milk on counters and leaving muddy footprints on the floor. Stop in on any given day and you can see we live here, however it’s never too early to start teaching kids how to clean up after their own messes too.
KIDS CLEANING UP
If you’ve potty trained a little boy, aiming, I think you know where I’m going with this…I make this solution and split it between many small bottles to keep in each bathroom and in our kitchen. The small bottles are easy for my kids to handle and safely use on their messes and accidents. The ingredients are safe enough to eat so I never worry about them getting cleaning residue on their skin that will burn or hurt them. The scent is also fun to change out with the seasons using essential oils, but a staple I always include is Thieves- which is known for it’s cleansing benefits. It is a combo of Clove, Cinnamon Bark, Lemon oil, Eucalyptus Radiata, and Rosemary which pairs nicely with just about any scent combo!
DIY SURFACE CLEANER RECIPE CARD:
•8oz. Vinegar
•20-25 drops of Essential Oil (my go is Thieves, paired with Lemon & Orange)
•16oz. glass or metal spray bottle (I use 8oz. bottles and put them in our bathrooms, laundry room and kitchen)
-Add your ingredients to the bottle and fill with water & wa-la
-Shake bottle before uses, oils tend to separate to the top!
DISCLAIMER: This cleaner uses vinegar- an acid that can change the component of natural stone so please don’t use on granite, marble or natural stone surfaces!!
NOTE: This solution should be stored in AMBER -or- BLUE bottles (clear bottles allow sunlight to get in and oils may become less potent) I don’t worry too much about this because we go through it within a few weeks and don’t store in broad sunlight places.
